The Best Vegan Restaurants in Tel Aviv

by Gabriela

This has to be one of the hardest vegan restaurant roundups I’ve written—simply because Tel Aviv has so many amazing options that I couldn’t try them all! Even though I visited more than ten vegan restaurants, narrowing down the best ones was a real challenge. Still, I’ve put together a list that highlights a variety of different spots to give you a well-rounded taste of what Tel Aviv’s vegan scene has to offer.

The Green Cat – Hatool HaYarok (7 Levontin)

The Green Cat vegan restaurant, Tel Aviv

The best vegan in pizza in Tel Aviv! This fully plant-based pizzeria serves delicious handmade pizzas topped with their own cashew-based mozzarella. You can customize your pizza with a variety of fresh toppings like mushrooms, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes.

Anastasia (54 Frishman)

Vegan shakshuka, Anastasia, Tell Aviv

This might just be my favorite vegan restaurant in Tel Aviv! Anastasia serves healthy, flavorful, and freshly prepared plant-based food with a wide variety of options. Choosing what to order was always a challenge because everything looked so good. They also offer daily specials—like the shakshuka in the photo above—which are definitely worth trying. And don’t skip dessert! They have amazing raw cakes, creamy vegan tiramisu, and dairy-free ice cream.

Tenat (27 Chlenov)

Injera plate, Tenat vegan Ethiopian restaurant, Tel Aviv

I had been wanting to try Ethiopian food for a long time, and this was where I finally got the chance! I ordered the injera plate, which came as a large platter served with a variety of flavorful sauces and stews. It was absolutely delicious. I’m traveling to Ethiopia later this year, so I’m excited to see how this meal compares to the real thing!

Nanuchka (30 Lilienblum St.)

Nanuchka vegan Georgian restaurant, Tel Aviv

This restaurant/bar serves Georgian cuisine and drinks. They have a bar, which can be very noisy, but also a quieter eating area. The food and atmosphere were both fantastic, and it’s a truly unique place in Tel Aviv. I had never tried Georgian food before, so it was an exciting experience. Now I’m really looking forward to traveling to Georgia in the future!

Update 2025: Nanuchka is closed down.

The Green Roll

The Green Roll, vegan sushi restaurant, Tel Aviv

If you’re craving vegan sushi, this is the place to go! They offer a wide selection of different rolls, along with lunch specials. You can also enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice with your meal.

Neroli Organic Juice Bar and Rawfood Diner (3 Lilienblum St.)

Neroli Organic Juice Bar and Rawfood Diner, Tel Aviv

This cozy restaurant offers green juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, raw desserts, sandwiches, and a variety of other vegan dishes. There’s also a shop in the same building—it’s not fully vegan, but they stock plenty of organic and plant-based products. Their smoothies are especially delicious. I recommend trying the açaí smoothie—it was my favorite!

I had heard that Tel Aviv was amazing for vegan food, but as they say, pictures say 100% words! These all look incredible. I really want to go to Georgia and also eat, of course. And vegan Ethiopian! Omg! My stomach is officially rumbling now, haha.

Tel Aviv is so far the most vegan-friendly city I’ve been to! I didn’t have time to try all the vegan restaurants they have and I could go back there just for the food! 😀
