For my final two nights in Cape Town, I decided to treat myself to a luxury experience. Knowing that my next month would be spent staying at hostels while traveling by Baz Bus—South Africa’s popular backpacker bus service that connects hostels across the country—I splurged and stayed in a suite at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel.
Located in the vibrant Sea Point neighborhood, one of my favorite areas in Cape Town, O on Kloof Boutique Hotel is the perfect mix of comfort and luxury. Sea Point is known for its cool restaurants, and just down the road from the hotel, there’s an excellent vegan restaurant called Scheckter’s Raw—a great choice for those interested in plant-based dining. The hotel is also conveniently located near beautiful beaches like Camps Bay and Clifton Beach, yet it’s not too far from Cape Town’s city center.

The Room – Comfort and Luxury Combined
The room I stayed in at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel Cape Town was absolutely stunning. It featured a spacious king-size bed, a double couch, and both a bathtub and large shower—perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy day of sightseeing. There was also a TV and an espresso machine, ensuring that every comfort was at hand.
However, the highlight of the room was the expansive private balcony with a jacuzzi. Overlooking the ocean, it provided an unobstructed view of the horizon, and in the evenings, I enjoyed watching the sunset from the comfort of the jacuzzi, cocktail in hand. It was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of Cape Town.

Hotel Amenities and Facilities
The hotel also offers excellent amenities. Downstairs, there’s a swimming pool, a small fitness room, and a sunbathing area. While the hotel also offers a spa, my last two days in Cape Town were quite hectic, so I didn’t have time to enjoy the spa services. If you have more time during your stay, it’s definitely worth checking out.
Breakfast and Dining
Breakfast at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel is served buffet-style, with a selection of fresh fruit, bread, croissants, and more. You can also order warm dishes from the kitchen. As a vegan, I had my usual hotel breakfast of toast, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and fresh fruit. On my last day, I had an early check-out before breakfast hours, but the hotel was kind enough to arrange for some fresh fruit and toast to be delivered to my room. If you have an early departure, just let them know the night before, and they’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
A Great Choice for Luxury in Cape Town
In summary, O on Kloof Boutique Hotel Cape Town is an excellent choice for anyone visiting the city. The location is perfect, offering easy access to major sights, while the staff was incredibly helpful, ensuring that everything during my stay went smoothly. The hotel offers a range of room options, from standard to luxury rooms, as well as two suites. For the ultimate luxury experience, complete with a private balcony, sunset views, and a jacuzzi, I highly recommend booking their suite. When you compare the price to similar experiences in other countries, the suite is a great value.
