Hi! I’m Gabriela — an adventurous solo female traveler, blogger, and photographer on a long-term mission to visit every country in the world.
On this blog, I share practical travel guides, itineraries, and first-hand experiences from destinations that are often overlooked or misunderstood. My focus is on independent and solo female travel, offering realistic advice and showing what travel actually looks like beyond the highlights — especially in parts of the world where reliable information can be hard to find.
Traveling solo as a woman has strongly shaped the way I explore the world. I don’t believe in fear-driven narratives, and I aim to share honest, experience-based insights that help others travel more confidently and responsibly.
I’m especially drawn to off-the-beaten-path destinations, long overland journeys, and places that challenge common perceptions — and I love the adventure that comes with them.

Visiting Every Country
Visiting every country in the world has been one of my biggest life goals. In 2016, I began working more intentionally toward this mission, and since then I’ve traveled to nearly 150 countries.

Where I Have Traveled
I started traveling at the age of 18, and it didn’t take long for me to get hooked. Before starting this blog, I had already traveled to almost 70 countries across every continent (except Antarctica — still to come!).
Some of my early adventures included:
- Living and traveling in New Zealand for almost a year
- Spending a month traveling around Australia
- Two Interrail trips across Western and Eastern Europe
- Backpacking through Southeast Asia
- An around-the-world trip
- Backpacking in Eastern and Southern Africa for three months, visiting eight countries
- Backpacking and camping through Central America
Since starting this blog, the adventures have only grown bigger. Over the years, I’ve:
- Backpacked solo from Cape Town to Cairo
- Traveled across Europe on multiple long backpacking journeys
- Visited every single country in South America
- Explored almost all Caribbean island nations without taking a cruise
- Spent several months living and working remotely as a digital nomad in Southeast Asia
- Traveled through most of Central Asia and all countries in the Caucasus
- Visited all African island nations and more than half of the continent overall
- Traveled through most of the Middle East

How I Travel
My goal isn’t just to move from one country to another. I prefer traveling overland whenever possible and spending meaningful time in each place I visit. Working remotely while traveling allows me to move at a slower pace, revisit countries, and experience destinations more deeply.
This approach has shaped both my travels and the kind of content I create.
Africa has a special place in my heart, and a large part of my travel experience comes from spending nearly two years traveling across the continent. As a result, much of this blog naturally focuses on African travel — highlighting lesser-known destinations and encouraging more thoughtful, adventurous travel — while still covering many other regions of the world.
