My Stay at Sunset Beach, Cape Town – Bliss Boutique Hotel Review
When it comes to travel inspiration, Instagram has become my go-to source. I kept seeing stunning photos of Table Mountain, and I was wondering where to get that view. After a little research, I discovered that Sunset Beach and Bloubergstrand offer some of the best views of Table Mountain in Cape Town.
A bit more digging led me to Bliss Boutique Hotel, nestled right on Sunset Beach. I booked a two-night stay, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect! The location was unbeatable: the hotel offers stunning views of Table Mountain right from the deck, and the beach is only a few steps away.
The Best View of Table Mountain in Cape Town

Unlike more crowded beaches like Muizenberg or Camps Bay, Sunset Beach is incredibly quiet, offering a peaceful atmosphere where you can nearly have the beach to yourself. Although the water is a bit too cold for swimming, I found myself spending hours strolling along the beach, taking in the breathtaking views of Table Mountain.

In the afternoon there are usually some kitesurfers in the water, and I enjoyed watching them. That’s a sport I would like to learn!
The sunsets at the beach are unforgettable, so be sure to head to the beach in the evening for some of the best shots!
A Unique and Cozy Stay at Bliss Boutique Hotel

If you’re looking for a more comfortable way to enjoy the sun, Bliss Boutique Hotel has a lovely pool area where you can soak up the sun in warm water. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the coastal beauty.

The décor at Bliss Boutique Hotel is simply charming. My room had a Victorian-inspired design with elegant details that made it feel cozy and luxurious. The highlight was the Victorian-style clawfoot bathtub—a real treat for a relaxing soak. For those who prefer a shower, the room also had a spacious shower with all the amenities you could need.

One of my favorite spots in the hotel was the balcony and deck, where I could sit, sip coffee, and admire the incredible view of Table Mountain. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of sightseeing or enjoying your morning coffee, the panoramic views make it an unforgettable experience.
Dining with a View

Bliss Boutique Hotel has a fantastic restaurant area and bar with a prime location overlooking the sea. I had dinner there on my first evening, and it was a great experience. The next day, I ventured to Enchanted, a lovely Italian restaurant in Bloubergstrand known for its separate vegan menu. It’s only a short Uber ride away and a perfect spot if you’re craving a delicious meal after a day on the beach.

There’s a breakfast buffet at the hotel with fresh fruit, toast, bread, croissants, yogurt, etc. and you can also order things from the kitchen. They also had vegan options like grilled mushrooms and tomatoes + avocados. I got avocados on toast and lots of fresh fruit—a healthy and delicious start to the day!
Perfect Relaxation with Easy Access to Cape Town
I had been staying in Cape Town for a while, so it was a nice change to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city life and relax at Bliss Boutique Hotel. The peaceful surroundings offer a tranquil retreat, but the hotel is also just a 20-minute drive from the city center, so you’re never far from the vibrant attractions of Cape Town.
Whether you’re visiting for a few days or a longer stay, I highly recommend Bliss Boutique Hotel. The combination of a peaceful beachside location, stunning views of Table Mountain, and the hotel’s charming amenities make it the perfect base for your Cape Town adventure.

I must confess I’ve seen a lot of images on Instagram of Table mountain but never seen one like yours. It looks spectacular with the beach in front of it, great job! It’s a bonus that the beach is empty too!
Yes, the beach was surprisingly empty. Maybe because the water is too cold for swimming 😀
